I use a 400gb card and it works fine. As for OTA, I've never got it to work, and need to update by putting the firmware file manually onto the card and updating from there. With all the issues with the R3, it's actually been working well for me. I use it via usb connected to a Mojo.

There are static like cracking noise when I play some 24-bit music but never in 16-bit ones. Do I get a faulty unit?

Update to 1.4 doesn't work.

I tried OTA several times and finally today it downloaded, but then gave a v_v file error. I checked the SD card and the file was 0 bytes. Checked and restored the SD card in Windows, removed the empty file.
Tried OTA update again, same error.

I also tried the links provided earlier, including the downloaded Chinese version, but that didn't work either.

Any ideas?

BTW I updated earlier, both OTA and via download to the SD card, and it worked fine.

I've struggled as well, OTA and download from the computer didn't work (server error).
I finally used my iPad to open the link posted above and it downloaded the file, saved it, transferred to SD and update worked.

As it's "some 24bit files" then I would check your files.
I have no problems here.

Spotify would be great and all, but I'd honestly prefer Hiby spend cycles on making supposedly released features that don't work function first....and by that I mean: TIDAL!
