Not that bad if it is 2.2 vrms (~125 mW@ 32 ohm)
You are correct if it is V and not VRMS. Usually manufacturers give either mW or vrms?
If it is vrms than it will be 151 mW https://www.eeweb.com/tools/rf-unit-converter (not 125)
If the balanced output is really ~151mW, then se is ~76mW. Isn't that a bit less than quite a few dap at this price?
Edit: Also, lets not jump to conclusions about the power output of the dap, we all may be mistaken.

It is factory-serviceable, if not exactly user-replaceable. I imagine that somewhere down the line replacement instructions will become available for DIYers at least in Chinese and English. :)
Hey @Joe Bloggs , please clarify our doubts about the power output of the dap.

Actually, if SE output is 1.1vrms, that would convert to 38mW @32Ohm. The conversion equation is mW=vrms*(vrms/Z)*1000 where Z=input impedance.

if thats really going to be the case, then it is going to be a major dealbreaker for me. But lets just wait for their word

We can wait 'til kingdom come, but that's not going to change the math...

Those output voltages were stated by @Joe Bloggs earlier but then the post was deleted. Not sure why but oh well. As always, depending on impedance and sensitivity that may be plenty especially for a small portable DAP, amp otherwise.

I mildly disagree on that part. Even though it is a small and portable dap, i expect it to have atleast half the power of its bigger brother to power a high impedance headphone.

Well, onkyo dp-s1 is 150 mW on BAL. It is also small.

I would expect it to be more powerful than most mobile phones out there (with the exception maybe of the LG V series) in order for it to justify the use and purchase over a conventional mobile phone-media player device.
Exactly, those are my thoughts as well!

I am talking about the se output. I am mostly satisfied with the balanced output. But if it can't provide me with a se output of at least 70mW, then it might be a dealbreaker to me, although I might buy the topping nx4 DSD to go with it.

R3+nx4=iBasso dx150 (almost)

Yeah, I know right! The topping nx4 dsd can power even 600ohm headphones! It would go very nicely with the r3 although i won't purchase it right now. With r3's brains and nx4's brawn, they can take on anything!
