To all those waiting for confirmation mail: have you checked your junk-folders? My confirmation was in there even though all other mails I got from them were not.

Yep been refreshing my email + junk folders for the past few days now and nothing completely silent from DHL. So I decided to call DHL up and ask them if they could do a manual search with my details provided in order to narrow it down and send me a tracking number. But they couldn't find anything.

Peter - do you own the R6 as well? My R3 has not arrived, yet, but with my R6 I do have cover art problems! Some albums won't show it at all, others - once you play 2nd track onward, it shows up. weird (and known) issue with R6 and HiBy's music app...

Sorry no R6 but I've never had any problems with cover art on any dap or dlna system. I only rip with http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/ and have a 500x500 jpeg in each folder.

I had the same issue with Art work on the R6.
If you browse the R6 forum there is a work around for that album art problem.
Mine is fully working. All art work.

So far so good. Anyone noticed the bit of blu tack at the bottom right corner? The case seems a bit larger than the R3...

Looking forward to the style guide for the playlist files. @Joe Bloggs if you can test using MusicBee and tell us which settings work on Windows that would be great too! Currently I have tried m3u and m3u8, with "Relative File Paths" enabled:

I haven't gotten lyrics to work on the R3, if anyone has advice to share please let me know. USB DAC on Win10, MusicBee works for a few tracks then the R3 hangs/WASAPI driver locks up.

The sound is great so far, with the Pinnacle PX (same as P1) running nicely on balanced, a little higher volume on unbalanced.

Interesting. Pre loaded sd card scanned immediately and fully on the R6. Unfortunately on R3 it freezes at track 3128. Tried a different pre loaded card and scan showed zero. I guess I’ll need to format and copy over the music library...bit of a pain.

In the settings there is a volume limiter which is pre-set to 80 but can be changed up to 100.

The tracks I did listen to - Miles Davis “So What” in DSD with some Beyerdynamic T51p, very impressed. Completely black background with no hiss. Warmish musical sound, not too much tizz up top (my biggest hate). UI smacks Shanling M2S out of the park.
