I got an email from Hiby with the tracking # but as i mentioned it hasn't been updated since the last 4 days
However, that hasn't stopped me from enjoy some tunes from the zx300 and the Meze 99c on balanced.

Mine didn’t update forever, but it seems every time I get something shipped from China the tracking info takes forever to catch up with the actual shipments progress. ZX 300 is the bomb! R3 is the bomblet Seriously impressed with this little thing despite it’s diminutive footprint.

For full disclosure: when we were told by our shipping director that all black units could be shipped out last week if she did it her way, we decided to let her have at it--shipping everybody's players out within days of each other seemed like a good enough approximation of shipping out in order to us. The alternative (cancelling all shipment bookings to re-order the shipments) would probably have meant shipping out only a fraction of the units last week while even the first backers would not get their player any sooner.

Grey units were shipped strictly in order last week.

But of course some units were shipped completely out of order before the correction last week and the early open-box impressions available now are largely from these recipients. (We're sorry!)

Apparently, unbeknownst to me, shipping notifications are also being given out willy-nilly as they became available, out of backer order and not even following shipping order. That's it--people here officially have not the PR sense god gave a stump

But then are you paying for PR acumen or paying to receive your R3 ASAP?

Why would Hiby declare that all black R3s were shipped when their message to me on Kickstarter says that they haven't shipped mine yet? Full disclosure please?

No. I did not get any email or notification. The information was 100% full and precise including the phone number.
If that was shipped then Joe can you please help with getting my tracking number?

Well they are wrong. Every black unit that we have an address to ship to has been shipped out. They are probably working off the fact that they haven't received a tracking no. yet, which is the wrong thing to look at. *facepalm*

1. Copy the file (r3.upt) to a micro SD card for the R3, in the root (i.e. outside of any subfolder)
2. Put the card in the R3, browse to Settings->Firmware Update, choose the local update option

Spent today with the R3, battery from 100% to 7% in 7 hours 20 mins. WiFi off, Bluetooth off, low gain, vol at 20 -35, balanced. The clear case is not a good fit, fixed with a bit of blu-tac. Any new case could cover the card slot the card almost sticks out 0.5mm or even better use a card tray. Sounds very enjoyable on all genres of music without EQ. You can have some good customisation with MSEB and or EQ to make up for your hearing or cans. Money well pledged. Now to try DNLA from the server
