The Headwize forums will (probably) reopen!

Actually, my subject line should have read "The Headwize forums will (probably) reopen!" since Headwize itself was never closed.

9/26/2001: It looks like the new site for the forums will work out
just fine. The new machine runs a 600MHz AMD Athlon CPU and has its own T1 line that is unsaturated 99% of the time! Hopefully, the forums will not tax that bandwidth. I have been busy porting the application to the new site and tweaking the code as I go. Look for the forums to reopen by the end of the week, if not sooner. I will give more details at that time.

Unfortunately for headwize though, I think I'm going to do most of my posting here at head-fi . . . there's a lot to be said for stability.

Seriously, though, it was nice to only have to check one forum. I wish Chu would just concentrate on the great content at HeadWize and link to these clearly superior forums, and everyone would be happy.

Actually, I think this fear of posting at headwize might be a blessing in disguise. If only the hardcore diyers post at headwize, like they did in the early days, then we'd have 2 specialized sites that could suit the needs of our community without being redundant. Wishful thinking?

how do you spell that one Spanish word...it's pronounced "wey-own." Some sort of insult, I think it means idiot. Just wondering...

The HeadWize archives have been open even after the forums closed. I've been using them.

Well Pablo, it is spelled as Huevon, and bassically it has a whole bunch of negative connotations, but is mostly used against extremely lazy people, at least in Mexico. Some other people, like the Chileans, use it as "dude" or bumhole. But it's pretty much a bad word all over the Americas. And Pablo Neruda, as far as I can tell, never used it
