Someone should try this nomex lsr driver out from the same alibaba seller/manufacter-of-the-drivers. Just ask for a pair even though pages says MOQ of 12. Also you cannot request them a custom design for only a pair as I have asked them and they said that they cannot do customized designs which is reserved for massive ordering of drivers.

Also what should I put in the cup to reduce vibrations?

Very interested to see how these turn out! Try dynamat or adding weight to the cups. They are soldered now but headphone still incomplete. Very loud speakers, so loud that they can be used as this mini portable speakers.

Blutack or whitetack
Maybe you could check some car shop or something. I recommend asking @frank2908 about damping and vibration. Is getting just a very small piece of Dynamat a thing? I dont want to order a whole sheet and waste a heck lot of money.
This is why the dynamic drivers are inherently flawed, compared to either a more pistonic design ( Utopia "bullet tweeter" type, or edge surrounded biocelulous types), or a noticably larger diaphragm that can cover more area in linear range, like the Sony Z1R & HD800 (for dynamics), and planar/electrostatic types.
Even BA based IEM's outperform Classic dynamic drivers. In your gif you can see It won't take much for it to flex & deform when pushed, Since It would explain why in measurements bass is always 1.9 ~ 10%. It would explain why the HD600 when a bass boost is done above 6db it can't handle it without distorting which makes It unfit for ones who like the harman target.

To damp driver, normally i mount them on a ring of 1-2 mm thick eva foam double sided tape, you cut them to a strip then tape them around the mounting area in the shape of the ring, make sure the end sealed. Make them 2 mm wider than the lip of the driver. Then you can mass load the driver with bluetack, see the modded t50rp thread for photos. Just make sure the mass of bluetack are the same on both side of driver using a cooking scale or just make them in to 2 even ball of the same size first.
"Then you can mass load the driver with bluetack" how exactly to do you mass load a dynamic driver? Also check out my PM pleas. To damp driver, normally i mount them on a ring of 1-2 mm thick eva foam double sided tape, you cut them to a strip then tape them around the mounting area in the shape of the ring, make sure the end sealed. Sorry for confusion, you actually dont apply bluetack on the driver itself, just on the cup, baffle. i have tried bluetack on the driver itself and it muddy up the sound
Glutack here is quite cheap here IIRC but there are also Two Dollar shops that sell a pack of glutack for literally 2NZD.Sorry for confusion, you actually dont apply bluetack on the driver itself, just on the cup, baffle. i have tried bluetack on the driver itself and it muddy up the sound
Could not find this with search function:
Audio-Technica ATH-ADX5000
58mm, tungsten coated, permendur magnet. On one driver it says "Japan made" other has serial number on it. Pads and driver are not angled which is bit surprising. Cool feature is that the driver frame IS the baffle. It's just one piece.

Someone should buy or try out a pair of these https://fineacoustics.en.alibaba.co...7b4d623bVDWutc&filterSimilar=true&filter=null. Company looks like they really know how to make headphones drivers including planars.
Also for this one here https://fineacoustics.en.alibaba.co...l?spm=a2700.shop_plgr.41413.11.38aaffa00JBMBH one of the questions was
Usually, L/T for samples is around 10days."
Also prices will be innacurate and you must talk to them about ordering a pair. I ordered a pair of Mg+Al LSR 40mm drivers from them and the shipping was far cheaper than on its page but the prices on the display page do not relate to the actual price You must talk to the people about ordering a pair. Also you cannot order a customized driver pair because of how much effort and time it would take and it would be a huge waste for them and they rather take it as an order in bulk.
