The HeadAmp GS-X and GS-X MK2 Thread

I take it the v2 is the same overall size as the v1 GS-X right?  I remember the v1 was actually significantly smaller and lighter than I had envisioned when I received it.  Not much bigger than the GS-1 in fact.  I'm spoiled by huge and heavy components.

As I've mentioned somewhere else, when buying audio equipment it must have three thing's, Sound quality, Build quality and Looks, and my source gives me all three in abundance. However in the UK it costs £15,000, but I'm sure if it could be bought directly from Teac it would probably go for £8,000 or £9,000. One of the reasons why I've got and are getting my headphone amps from Headamp is because they're got directly from Justin, which in turn means big saving's. Justin's amps also give me the three thing's I look for, well at least the BHSE and Pico Slim do. I haven't heard the GS-X and Aristaeus  but they look very nice, especially the Aistaeus, I've no doubt the build quality will be top notch and the sound quality will be amazing.

The K-01 cost me £10,000, but I used my previous headphone system as part exchange.

Well, it is a beauty...Not sure if there is anything that can top it...Congrats on a sweet piece of kit!

There's a photo on my post 218 on this thread, The small rack on the top shelf of my main audio rack is for the Aristaeus to separate it's amp and PSU, and the space under the amp section of the BHSE is for the GS-X. All the faceplates will be silver apart form my source which is all silver.

here's a positive testimonial of the GS-X from yesterday's D.C. area meet:

Best in Show:
Hands down, the HE-6 out of Justin's GS-X. At the meet the GS-X was being fed (balanced, I think) from an Oppo BDP-95, and then balanced out to the HE-6. I can say I know now why folks like preproman rate it so highly...clarity, soundstage, transient speed, you name it, this headphone has it in spades. And the GS-X, to my ears, effortlessly grips this Godzilla by the scruff.
