The new VModa M 100 master seems to worth a try.
Onestly I'm not a pure basshead, but I like to ear bass as originally mastered in a track, this is my idea of audiophile listening, maybe a little more fun too. :)

Probably as Malevolent suggested a good elettrostatic can fit my needs, but they are very expensive and not easy to drive.

Hey guys I really want a reccomendation... Want to spend around 100. I found the V-Moda M100 for 100 but should I do it? I really miss the Razer Krakens I used to have when I was younger and want to remember those days. (I have the HD6XX rn). Also how is the M100 compared to the Kraken?

For $100, definitely. I was going to get the M100's myself as they are supposed to be quite fun, but I was concerned about the comfort, even with the XL pads.

Havn't heard the M100, but the Krakens are one of the absolute worst popular headphones ever made.
It only produces endless quantities of muddy midbass.
It has a very capable driver that is ruined by the enclosure and ear pads. Very few headphones benefit acoustically from that kind of narrow and deep pad design.

TLDR - pretty much anything you pick is going to be better, without exaggeration.

What about if I spend more? I was originally going to get both the Verum 1 and the M100. should I just get one instead for like the combined budget? I could crack the 500$ range

I followed the Verums for quite a while, and from what I've gathered, they're good, but not great. Lovely looking headphones though.

I'm biased towards the Fostex sound signature, so I'd personally get the E-mu Teak's at the $500 mark, you can also get the E-mu's with different wooden cups as well if you shoot them an email which is really cool.

I just recently got my DT 770's, and while they sound good, I've realized that I'm a fan of head rumbling sub bass, and the DT 770's don't have that, so I think the M100's would have fit me better around the $150-$200 mark. It really depends on how much money you feel like spending. What amp / dac are you running?

For $ 100 buy the M100.

If you want to remember the Razer Kraken you may try the HyperX Alpha or Cloud II pratically the old Takstar 80 or buy a Takstar Pro 82 all under your budget and nice sounding.
I don't know the Verums but Beyerdynamic Custom One could be another option.
