Nice point HawaiiBoy...

That reminds me... what's the life on the drivers in these BTW? Mylars? CNT? Most importantly, what's the life on the bio-cellulose fostex drivers?

Will they rot? Become soft over-time? I wanna keep my **** forever... Is there any time when these things actually begin to disintegrate?

If kept right, should last a long long time. I have 4 pairs of Sony headphones that I have had for 15-25 years and all of them are kicking still.

Hopefully, CNT and Mylar can stand up to the rigors of being pushed hard for years to come. My only concern with my 2k's (CNT), and Pro500's(mylar) is the plastics, which tend to get brittle after a while.

How ever on the flip, there are millions of old headphones from the 60s 70s and 80 that are still kicking, so hey! Who knows.

Those "Black Death" are basically the CAD MH510's in America by CAD Audio. Interesting the low end is strong emphasis while the highs are clearish. it's an interesting 50mm pair of cans. Almost equal to the 50X but with more bass. and a bit lower in the high end but the high end is there.

There is another white felt padded re-brand the Numark Nuwave (?) which hit hard and had very good overall sound
