No, HBB some have different sound goals than you who like bass do.

I don't like your guys basshead cans and remixes at all, but I understand what you prefer and can point you in the direction of what it is that you like.

I guarantee you would hate my home rig, no bass, open baffle, single driver, tube amp under 20W, low volume levels are the intended listening environment. Chamber music, acoustic vocals, frequency response rolls off above 150hZ.

Yet I can comprehend yours.

If I enjoyed listening to some tracks with mega bass, the SZ 2000 would be an obvious top choice, but I don't, so there is no need for me to buy a pair.

The remixes are good to test a system's bass extension, but I don't play them for more than a few seconds and then move on to what I actually listen to.

Do you mean the xb910 as featured in the recommended section?
 
If so - they are a pretty good sounding basshead headphone, though the sound is a bit boomy club sounding type bass, so good for hip-hop, dubstep and bassy EDM in general.  They respond well to EQing, are comfortable, but build is a all plastic affair which reduces their robustness, but overall, decent bass cans that are styled well IMO.

Out of interest, what are your listening values and type of music do you listen to?  Any YT links to give an idea?
 
I guess if you aren't a basshead or from what it sounds - you don't like bass, I can see why you don't like the headphones shown on this thread or music used to test them with to a point - but don't you appreciate the likes of FOSTEX TH600 & 900 headphones - they are world class not just in bass quantity when EQ is applied, but the entire register.  Stock signature of both of these headphones is quite neutral if not a little bright compared to the heavy bass EQ shown of them here.
 
I read your previous posts where you mentioned an accelerometer and a bunch of other stuff that I didn't really understand - could you explain your previous comments in layman's terms for easier understanding?

Never saw the "TH" Bash brothers coming. I have heard and been impressed but it took an owner to put them through the motions to confirm that they are not only epic audiophile cans they have enormous low end power.
If you're a basshead and want your cake (bass) and eat it too (Hi fidelity sound along with it)...the TH series wait for you...and your money

Every can on this list is owned by a single owner and were compared in exactly the same manner. On the ear to confirm what the Paper test shows. That's a nice visual to enjoy. The settings were identical. Personal bias was overcome. I know 1 user who would have loved to have seen those hand glazed cups at #1. Never think this is about anything but bass. Lotta work and communication goes on that you never see.  Most thought out comprehensive, accurately compared list of bass cans on the internet by a very wide margin.

When making a bass/paper test, finding the "sweet spot" is essential in how you place the paper and pads to get the best effect, however, different sweet spots produce different visuals of the bass SPL slam transfer, which effects how the paper reacts.

In the above test, the paper/pads is positioned to create maximum paper resonance - ie you can hear the paper vibrate.

In the below test the paper/pads are positioned to give the paper "wobble/wiggle" effect.

King cannons like the SZ2000 have this ability - check out both videos to see differing paper responses but both equal in impact, just different types on show :wink:

When wearing your Headcans - always make sure you find your sweet spot - if you don't get a good seal, you lose bass impact - and that just ain't no good in the hood :confused_face:

Man, I know this has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion at all.. but I have to restate how much I love all the stuff you guys make for this thread. If you're only using photoshop.. I'm damn amazed.
 
As for a bit on topic - still absolutely no news on the Strix Pro.

It's pretty much universally accepted that in many cases if individuals appreciate or are happy with something they tend to stay comfortably quiet but the whining aggravated few in the minuscule minority make the LOUDEST noise to the detriment many times of the majority

So when a member like yourself shows appreciation to all the contributors of this thread as you have done so - to me, it's priceless - and gives me confidence that this epic thread is right on course and just exploding up as a centre for lovers of Extreme Bass :)
