I’ll kick this thread back into life.

I purchased a pair of rs2 about 3 years ago from ebay for just under £300, now when they turned up the previous owner was a heavy cigar smoker and they reaked.
the seller actually gave me £100 back too replace the leather strap and cups, they still stank as the smoke had gone into the wooden cups even the cable funked.he gave me another £50 back.
My wife couldn’t stand them in the house they where that bad, I put them in my spare room on a glass display head and forgot about them.

Well tonight I was sorting out the room took them down and blow the smell had gone, plugged them into my rega brio, bit of Stan Getz on the lp12 and it blew me away!

Best £150 I’ve ever spent just took me 3 years to realise it.
