Which sounds better for the money
has anyone had both these mods and comparared them at all

not heard any of them, but from the general tone here on the board, I would say:
- C-pads: most love the comfort, but most think it degrades the sound a bit (too much)
- liberators: some major fans ("improves comfort, sound and soundstage") but also some voices that comment negatively on the more distant sound

so, try to go to a meet or something and test both for yourself or if that is impossible, describe as precise as possible what you think is lacking in the unmodded grado sound (which model do you own, what do you listen to, what do you like about them, what don't you like?) as I guess both mods can't just be that easily compared to one another as they do different things to the sound (and comfort)

and if you don't miss/dislike anything... don't do/get any mods! For me at least it isn't about 'better' or 'more expensive' or 'modding just to mod'... it is about great sound in the end
