  I was wondering whether any of you had encountered any problems with the microSD cards in the X5. Kingston, Sandisk, Samsung cards should all be ok, no?

I only use Sandisk but no problems with 32 or 64gb cards or formats.

X5 has excellent sound quality and a lot cheaper than other "high end" DAPs.  Very seldom see consumers win and you dont need to be elite to enjoy good sound.

US$350 is pretty much the MSRP for X5. If you see the local price being a lot higher (said over US$400 / EUR$300), then you might want to shop around a bit for better price.

Yeah but in europe 350 dollars = 350 euros (even though you would exchange it for like 250 euros). Maybe because of two-year warranty we have here.

don't forget the VAT, hope everyone can supports your local dealer otherwise you have to ship the RMA back to China.

Does anyone try X5 with headphones such as HE-500, T1, LCD-2? Can X5 drive these phones or we still need an amp?

I honestly dont know... I am in Hong Kong... officially, it should be widely available here in March.
 
I only go to erji.net to read about new products. Over there, they talk about Sony PCM-D100 all the time. You should have a demo when it is available in the states.

As usual, many who don't seem to own one are complaining about the look. Apparently some also find it way too neutral, though we usually don't take it as a bad thing here.

the best response is that the X5 is the best sales in China in the past 30 days, and the worst thing is we have not enough X5 for the market. people can check the sales volume in taobao ( Chinese Amazon), the sales volume is opened to everyone.
