I have no way to send you a playlist.  They are all at least 10 songs or more spanning across 2 micro sd cards.  Please just admit what I am trying to do cannot be done.  I know somebody else in this thread came to the same realization.  Admit it your products don't do that.

Fiio told me this could be done when it cannot.  I was lied to and it is a huge part of my music is playlists and I cannot fully utilize them.  I am tired of Fiio linking me to the same page like I am stupid saying it should work when it doesn't help.  This is not simple or possible.
Fiio's instructions do no good.  How do I do it?

Thanks Fiio!  Had the wrong slash after the drive letter!  I thing I got it now.  My apologies.

Hi! I just tried to play my playlists spanning across 2 micro sd cards.  I could play one song and then my X5 would pause and not go to the next track without me the screen and manually pushing next track.  I have my songs on the first micro sd cards as A:\ and the second micro sd card as B:\   The first micro sd card show up as drive E:\ and the second as G:\ when I plug the x5 into my computer.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks.

No difference between the two, except the ability to push harder to drive headphones. If you're using IEMs, it's best to use low gain.

Thanks Pinky.

If I may ask a followup question, why is low gain better when using IEMS?

Sent from Nokia 3210

Most IEMs are more sensitive and don't require as much amping. They might pick up more noise from the more powerful signal of High Gain. Plus, on Low Gain you can use more volume steps before the IEMs get "too loud", so you can find your own personal sweet spot with more precision.

  Hi, Riley Beale
If your music files are the tracks from .cue, the tracks can not be supported in the playlists. Only the whole track one can be created in the playlist. You can upload the external playlists you create in dropbox and send the link to us. You don't need to send the music files to us but only the playlists will be ok. We can have a check and find the reason for that issue. Or you can go to our facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FiiOAUDIO/, so we can communicate with you about that. We only hope to help you with that problem successfully.
And here is an example of the playlist:
A:\Music\Becoming a Legend - John Dreamer.flac
A:\Music\Rise - EpicMusic - JohnDreamer.flac
B:\Music\True Strength - Epic Music - John Dreamer.flac
Best regards

Maybe a lesson to be learned... lashing out is not the best idea. Particularly when the problem is your operator error.
Sorry but I deal with this same thing almost daily. It is an aggravation for those that do nothing but try to help others fix "their" problems.

The FIIO guys are obviously much mor patient  then I am.

I got M3U8 Playlists working on my X5 finally,  I downloaded M3U Dropper.  It is great and pretty simple to use. I figured out I had to use TF1:\ and TF:2\ to reference the drive letters in my playlists because A and B did not work for some reason. Thank you Fiio and everybody in the thread.

I have a 2nd hand X5 in the post (which I'm pretty excited about) which may need a firmware update but the links in the Fiio firmware repository on Dropbox are currently reporting: "Error (429)This account's links are generating too much traffic and have been temporarily disabled!" Are there any mirror sites for the firmware?
