Hey guys, I made an account in hope that some one could help me with this problem that developed with my X3. (FW 1.25)
I normally use 2 microsd cards (a 32gb SDHC and a 64GB SDHC formatted to fat32) with my X3, swapping them out and updating the library when I want different music.
But today, after swapped one card to another and then updated the library, when I went into the category menu, the artists/albums folders that were on the other card where still in the database. When the phantom folder is entered in the category menu, it is empty with no music inside to play.
Taking the advice of people on this same thread that had similar issues, I tried updating the database after I had emptied the internal memory and the sd card slot.
No luck. The category menu is completely filled with phantom Artist/Genre/Album folders which have no files to play inside.
So can anyone recommend a course of action? I have tried factory resetting, followed by multiple library updates and many variations thereof.

sorry for the bugs, we are working in this and hope the new firmware will fix it asap

Hi James; Any idea if the new firmware will also correct the gapless playback issues? Also, any idea when we can expect the new firmware to be available?

I think we can release the new firmware in next week, about the gapless, need more time to support more playback mode.

Ooooooo, that's nice.

I was just taking a closer look at the photo of the X3 with the other, ugly, leather case and I noticed a large external media slot in between the USB port and the line out that isn't present on the production model. Looks like a standard SD card slot. Oh, and there are two silver buttons on the right side of the unit in the photo. This must be a picture of a very early proto-type.

we have made 3000 pcs leather case and start to ship to our agent from next week, I think it will available around the world soon.

it will be available in our sales agents but it may take 10 ~ 15 days to launch the local market because it take to ship the case.

Do you have any photos?

James;

I am not able to get some album files to play back gapless no matter how I access them, neither from Browse Files or from Categories/Album as has been suggested by some members. Is this normal. Is it possible I am doing something to cause this?

It would appear that the files accessable from the categories folder are files that are on the internal memory only and not from the external(micro SD card) source. Is this correct?

I just ripped Abbey Road from the Beatles and if played back through Categories/Album it plays back gapless, but if I play it back from the Browse Files folder it does not. Partial success I guess but i don't understand why Nirvana MTV Unplugged-Live in New York, which was ripped the exact same way will not play gaplesss either way. It plays gapless on all of my PC media playback software. Very puzzling.

Photo's of the leather case are in this thread, on an earlier page, and on FiiO's website.

Thanks, I see the new version on your web site,  nice design.

Any idea who would have them the soonest, I would really like one for an upcoming (long) trip. Ship from Asia is fine.
