What I'm referring to are the prices of the Fiio DAPs and the relatively higher price of the X3ii.

The current X5 costs $349.99 USD in the USA. Converted to Canadian dollars, that's $433.56 CAD. And the X5 price in Canada is $424.95 CAD. Even cheaper!

The new X1ii costs $99.99 USD in the USA. Converted to Canadian dollars, that's $124.23 CAD. And the X1ii price in Canada is $124.95 CAD. Close enough!

The new X3ii costs $199.99 USD in the USA. Converted to Canadian dollars, that's $248.45 CAD. But the X3ii price in Canada is $289.95 CAD. Why?

Maybe because it's still new and in high demand so retailers know they can charge more for it and people will still pay for it...

Got my X3 II ! Charging.
Came with silicon mask, with no place to insert a card. How to
remove the mask, without breaking it?
Btw, screen protector removes itself just easily. It is just mine?
Best regards all.

It comes with a silicone case that is removable...you won't rip it or break it unless your try to stretch it excessively. The screen protector comes preinstalled what you remove or removed is just the backing on it. Enjoy your X3II!

That's great! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine. It's great little DAP.

I love the little X1, can't say enough about it. I'm sure X3II will bring nothing but joyous times.

Strangely, after all these months I never did try the original X3. That one slipped past me.

Thanks!
So, I have to pull the player out through screen gap? It looks
so fragile.
Yep, I tried to remove a sticker from screen protector. Guess what!
The whole protector detached. I put it back, but it has few bubbles
of air and else.
Thanks for help.

I had the original X3 but I much prefer the new one in every way. The sound, the build quality, the look of it. The old X3 was warmer sounding and I do miss the hardware base and treble controls but still much prefer the new X3. I have the X1 too and it's a great little player in it's own rite.

No problem :) The whole screen protector came off? It's hard to tell if there is one on there they are so thin and well placed. I'd just try one of the spare ones that came with it and start over.

I had the same experience – but I'm confident that the actual screen protector film is still there, although I can't tell with certainty.

I can't either...I actually tried to remove the protector the other day because I scratched the screen a little bit so I thought I'd replace it anyways but I couldn't get it off so I stopped trying because I didn't want to damage the screen. So I placed the protector over the screen on top of the original one (if it is actually there) and it looks fine...can't even see the scratch now.

Your point is moot because even when the US and Canadian exchange rate is the same like it was through 2013, Canadian prices are still higher.
