The gold version seems to be sold out everywhere right now, is it really that much more popular? Should I worry about it not being restocked soon?

Thanx, can you please explain how exactly it works? I mean those are completely different players, the Nano and the X1 .... One is slim the other more brick-formed ...

the silver is more popular, we have problem to supply enough X1 ( silver and gold ) to our distributors/agents but soon it will be solved .

I've been really impressed these last few days driving a pair of Grado SR125 with FiiO X1. Every now and then going through gear I have 'this is all you need' moments. This is absolutely one of those scenario's.
I've had a lot of fun with my X1, whether by amping it, or as a stand-alone unit. It's a great little $100 investment.

Its a pouch you put your X1 in just like you would the device those are made for. You can find universal armbands like this just about anywhere electronics are sold.
Any chance a way to browse artists alphabetically is going to be added? Like you can do with Rockbox or the long depahted Rio Karma. Like so:
A
B
C
D
E
F
G
H
then once you select the letter you get all the artists starting with that letter. This would save what sometimes feels like infinite scrolling trying to get to a particular artist. I'm sure this had already been asked/suggested a bunch of times.

Just a quick question, does anyone else have issues with playback breaking up or distorting when playing high resolution FLAC files? I know my files are okay, because they play fine through my other DACs, but I have intermittent breaking up, lasting 2 or so seconds every few minutes. I'm not sure what the root of the issue is.
Does the breakup slow down the playback or does the "playback" speed hold constant through the breakup?

I would classify it as around a half second of music just breaking up (noise). The speed really doesn't seem to change. It definitely isn't in my tracks because none of my other players exhibit the behavior and it doesn't happen in the same spot in the song and is present across much of my HD music. I would say it only happens around 1-2 times every ten minutes if that helps.
