If the HDD is formatted with NTFS, I'd recommend you to use my firmware builds.
My computer restarted on me mid-copy, but I got to check what did get copied. It worked! I'll report when I'm done with exactly what I used for future reference.

I will definitely use your build if it's NTFS - the small fonts are great. Fantastic job!

Just for reference, my initial tests were successful for the following setup:
Firmware on 2.5.1 stock
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B005AS337Y/ as a USB hub,
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01LQQHF2W/ as a hard drive

I'll report again when I test it with Lurker's firmware.

I have not been successful using any Seagate hard drives, and I tried three unique models, powered or unpowered. I believe there's something compatible with WD drives that is not present in Seagate drives.

Did you mean, "HDD" and "USB OTG" instead of "HD" and "OTA"? If you did, then, of course, yes, you can.

HI Lurker,

ups .. OTA would be fine :) but you´re right I mean OTG.
So I just need some time for the first time creating the DB on the HDD and than I just could use it like I sayed.

Thanx

Ruediger

BTW: I´m still happy with your fantastic FW and Sanmigels mod.

I didn't see any mention of DB before :)

There is no a scan for an HDD, like it is for the internal storage and microSD. You play from HDDs from Directory menu. Well, each folder then is scanned and added to the DB. But if you re-scan your microSD card, the library for the HDD is lost. If you turn DX90 on without the HDD connected, the DB may be lost as well.

Running the L2 modded firmware with my drive, which is NTFS. Fantastic stuff, on fonts alone!

Just discovered that the DX90 can be used as a dac with android devices. Normal OTG cables might not work but using the Samsung OTG adapter included with my Galaxy S7 Edge I can use the DX90 as a USB dac with my phone and Onkyo DP-X1. One issue though, pops and clicks.

I just tested some old firmwares again and spent a good time doing a comparison..

I still find the 2.2.0 official to sound the most natural and uncolored, compared to lurker's and other ibasso official firmware.

How about you guys?
