I'll be running them out of my Pimeta. From what I've read, I think the AD8620 could be a nice pairing with these cans. We'll see.

Now I just need a little more help. Which flavor of the 770 should I get? (and, no, I can't afford to send them to Larry yet

Just got their open brother the dt990 and i love the sound.I was nervous that my PA2V2 would not be enough amp for them but it sounds great with plenty of volume.

Are you getting the new models? There's one that is 32 ohm...

If older model, you want the DT 770 Pro/80. 80 ohm impedance. That's the one that I bought, and I like it A LOT.

ditto dt770/80 pro.
If you can't get them at NYC Guitar Center (remember should NOT be version made for drummers with inline attenuator)
