Looking to buy (yet)another iem and for a moment considered an open box Anni 23 because of all the praise it gets but managed to be sensible (actually started sweating thinking of spending that much) and read some more reviews and for it's price it does get, surprisingly, a few criticisms, the main part in it's favor is very well done treble but for that kind of money I would expect well done everything as I know the honeymoon period soon wears off, and have had sets before with very clear highs but virtually no bass or recessed mids (not that Anni 23 has that much of a disparity). I really didn't want to spend this kind of money also, so it was quite a relief to read less than emphatic reviews. So after reading lots more I went for a Maven II.

If you do any ordering from MT, you know they say "like new", but they always send new unopened units, with "new unopened" written on the invoice. So these are super deals.
Spend any time in the Watercooler thread, and you'd know just how highly regarded these IEMs are. It's one of my target IEMs for CanJam, and I'd love to able to get some audition time with them at home too.
Loving the Clarinet so far, a coaxial input seems to add some special sauce to an already great sounding little DAC/amp.
Listened for a few hours last night with AüR Audio Neon Pro and for a few hours so far today with AüR Hermit and both seem to do really well off the Clarinet.
To my ear it sounds as good or better than other gear I have, some costing much more.
New year, new toys! But.. I'm going to let them come to room temp before checking them out. It's like 10º F today and the boxes are frozen. That's -12.2º C for the rest of the world.
Btw.. apparently Bloom ups their candy game when you buy nicer things. I'm used to getting snack sized bags of Skittles or a couple Starbursts with my orders.
