This evening's cooldown before bed is up to VE Megatron and Tripowin Piccolo. Such a cosy and expansive sound.

I am positive this would impress many a non-headfi-infected ears and leave them missing nothing.

Wake me when the FiiO JM1 goes on sale. I'll be first in line.
Im debating on selling my Fiio BTR5 Titanium and buying it or if I should wait to see if the reviews are good.

Luckily I know and pretty sure everyone can agree that fiio is a pretty reliable and reputable brand.

Just worried if I'll regret selling my titanium BTR5

Idk...what do you guys think?

There's something nice about saving up and getting what you wanted. Keep up your hopes and dream. You'll get there in the end! It's a joy when something is earned over time.
I 100% agree with you on that!

This is a little random and somewhat off topic, but seeing how this thread has been somewhat slower in the last few days I figured now is as good of a time as ever.

I'm wondering, for those of you that have an over abundance of IEMs, like 30+, how do you possibly find time to listen to them all? I assume it has to do with collecting more than actually having them to enjoy at that point, but I am very curious about this.

I have about 20 IEMs all in and I find my self listening to maybe 4-6 of them daily. The rest sit in drawers collecting dust. Some are too special to sell, some are just outdated and not worth anything so selling them doesn't make much sense to me at all.

I'd love to hear everyone's opinions and stories.

This is my rotation for the last month:

DYNAQUATTRO
DEUCE
S12-2024
ESTRELLA
SR9
EA2000
DUSK
IE600

and many others occasionally.

At this stage of my life, I buy and collect IEMs.

I like IEMs regardless of how they sound.

Sometimes I buy them for how they sound, sometimes because I like them aesthetically, sometimes for the technical solutions they have adopted.

If an IEM has more than one of the previous characteristics, for me it becomes a premium product.

The same goes for having even just one of the characteristics, as long as it is truly at the top in that characteristic.

And to be able to afford the above, I give up many other things (vacation, aperitifs, clothes, expensive car, etc. etc.).
But I don't care.
For me at this moment these are things that have less importance.

That's wonderful. As long as it makes you happy.

I'm right there with you, sir. I don't spend my money on anything else besides my family, coffee and audio. Vacations are nice, but they're more stressful than fun I feel. Cars are the same - If I was rich, then yeah I'd have a nice Porsche. But I'd rather be able to enjoy my music in a fulfilling way all the time.

If it makes you happy, that's all that matters.

It is always a wise move, from a financial perspective, to save up and go for end game as much as possible ... End game does not need too much rolling, last longer and helps enjoying music at best from its start for longer...
