Wow, FD15 absolutely needs balanced on my RS2, night and day difference in pacing, stage, and overall ambience. Probably not the best matched dap cuz mids are really in your face but timbre is beautiful. Sibilants and some treble elements have a bit of a lispy quality that I tend to associate with cheaper gear but the sound all around is quite textured and extracts some elements in tracks I wasn’t aware of which was a surprise. Maybe a different cable will do something for the weird treble quality but I’m a bit low on MMCX. I rec it altogether tho, fits me like a glove more or less too.

At the same time, my experience is such—at least the way It worked in our story—that first, products are created where costs don’t matter; only performance is what counts. It’s thanks to these that part of the experience and technology can later be used in things aimed at a wider audience. It’s like technologies developed at the edge of human capabilities, whether in space, military, or sports, that then transition into products with broader reach. And since we’ve already gained "some" experience...
But let's not rush the story; everything happens in its own time. :)
Great perspective on the subject. Looking forward to more of your work!

EA500 LM easily was the most disappointing IEM I've heard this year. Crispy treble, no cohesion to the sound signature. My first Simgot, and all I can say is I'm not a fan of its "house sound."
Please, do not judge the whole of Simgot on the LM. That one was mostly a disaster, yes, but the next one I heard was the EW300 which is right up there with the greatest Sub-100USD has to offer.

To balance out all you Richie Rich mofos with seemingly endless cash to burn making me jealous here in the Disco thread, here is my cheap audio loser update:

I have the dirt cheap KZ PRX and KBear Rosefinch incoming to add to my current miniscule IEM, cable and tips collection of:

KZ Castor Bass
KZ Castor Harman
KZ x HBB PR2 MkIII
KZ 784-core cable
2 x QKZ T1 200-core cables
Faaeal Hibiscus cable
Penon Liqueur Black tips (S/M/L)
Penon Liqueur Orange tips (S/M/L)
Dunu S&S tips (S/M/L)
Tri Clarion tips (S/M/L)
FiiO HS18 tips (S/M/L)
FiiO KA11 DAC/AMP

I'll move along back to my dirty cardboard box under the overpass on the Audio Expressway now.

😂😂😂😂
Do not feel too left out, stuff only gets marginally better while prices absolutely skyrocket. Nowadays, staying under 100USD offers all you could ever need.

New Juzear on the way the Dragonfly JUZEAR 81T In-Ear Monitors, the price is 249.99$ ,It's coming out around November 5th. It's a 1+8 if that wasn't obvious.

Hm, thanks for sharing, interesting for sure. And way nicer looking than the butterfly 61T. Would love to see a pic of the other side to get a feel fitment-wise.

I checked in with DITA to get an update on the release of Mecha and they said about 6 weeks away… Project M pretty much kicked off 2024 for me and definitely a massive favourite this year, I really hope I get Mecha in my ears before the year ends.

A shot from when I first received Project M in late December 2023… the 29th to be precise.

Thanks for the Mecha timeline, I'm getting impatient!

If all that leaves me with less coin for play money, so what? I don't like giving a penny of my money to banks, and I want to retire comfortably and give our kids a good head start in life without a big debt burden. If I need to skip an IEM or headphone purchase to achieve my financial and retirement goals, so be it.
You are my favourite superhero.

Idk what I was thinking tryna sell the Szalayi but it’s here to stay.

Haha! We all have our episodes of complete crazytalks.

New (to me, bought second hand) FiR Audio Radon6/RN6. One of the main flagships I've fallen in love with.
Stepping it up big time! Congrats, brother! Hope they're as sweet or even sweeter than you remember them being.

How is that aurora cable? Looks very good quality, any microphonics?
Gorgeous looks, amazing quality, supple handling characteristics, no significant microphonics.
I do, however, prefer single-stranded cables above the splitter to keep the cable as silent as possible when going around your ears and by your jaw.

The Kotori Zephyr are Deep-fitters.

🎶 First I was afraid ... I was petrified ... thinking I could never fit these babies either side 🎵

But careful tiprolling has me settling on the Moondrop Spring tips in M (khmm .. arguably the Best thing Moondrop has ever produced?...).

And now they're one of my best fitting sets alongside the Fitear SuperiorEX and AüR Aure.

Giving this tremendous work a go on this calm Saturday. Hope everyone's day goes well.

Listening to this remaster of an absolute classic ambient gem from 1994 on Shock - it sounds utterly spectacular, I love how the BCD positions elements within my head - that sensation where you can sense the specific locations and it’s especially effective with layered, intricate, detailed electronic music like this… highly recommended album for those of you who appreciate electronic music.

Also reading up on the Activo P1 and very tempting 😬

Indeed the soundstage, layering, spatial and imaging precision are special with Shock. Something different than "traditional" drivers.

At least they are close or same league with my Mest in these departments.

It’s funny switching to a set without BCDs, I really notice for example with Supremacy which I’m now listening to that the presentation is more traditional 2-channel with instruments presenting out to left and right… it took a few minutes to adjust from that more ‘inside my head’ experience.

Supremacy is a fantastic set, loving the timbre in particular and find myself choosing more non electronic music mostly… currently ‘The Golden Casket’ by Modest Mouse.

How the time flies, and with it ... here is the 30th Review in my modest career. And it's a special one since this time I'm covering headphones for the first time in the form of the Sivga Luan. Enjoyable, comfortable, high quality.
