Vacuuming was never anyone's favourite pastime, but with a good DAP, deep house playlist, and well-fitting well-isolating IEMs it's aaalmost enjoyable.

I know they're a bit plain, but I love the looks of these. The fit looks incredible as well.

Reminds me of the Canpurs, with their completely sealed off design and super comfortable shells, the isolation is actually off the charts. The CP32e is so isolating that without music playing, my Tinnitus gets to an uncomfortably high perception. I assume these are somewhat similar!

Speaking of Tinnitus, does anyone have a bad case of it? I've been living with it for years and years now, I've lost count tbh, and I've been doing some exercises to try to mitigate it but to no avail. If anyone has any tips that's worked for them, I'm all ears (pun intended). Thanks in advance!

And BooM, here it is. A special set that I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing, but (thankfully) it did not persuade me into purchasing my own.

I have to say I’m more excited when they’re in my ears :)

What is the cable that you’re using with them?

Meanwhile, Penon mail call! No, nothing new this time - just a little parcel of old cables back from getting some TLC from them.

IMG_1189.jpeg

They offered to “update” my Totem (visions of it being loaded with iOS 18.1) - swopping out the original 2.5mm plug (and its network of little Totem adapters) for a 4.4mm modular plug - and modular connectors, which are the bigger deal for me because most of my collection is 2-pin and I don’t have any other cables of this calibre in MMCX. But today the Totem is being reunited with my Volt so it’s back right where it started.

I’m doing my Friday Bandcamp shopping as well, letting them play right through my feed through nothing more than my phone and DC Elite, and they just shine.

In the 3 years or so since I got these, I’ve had the good fortune to listen to a number of amazing IEMs (and own some of them). And it occasionally surprises me that Volt + Totem are still such a pleasure in 2024, musically and timbrally.
Nice, and really how many manufacturers update the cable they sold you a few years ago and offer to receive it in for an update? None that I know of, after the sale they are gone doing new things. But I too am a fan of the Volt and Totem combo. And while Penon may have moved onward from designing and making the Volt, it will always stay in my top shelf echelon of IEMs.

Since I know you guys know everything that is available on the market...

I need an Eartip that is more than 14mm wide and more than 10mm height.
And if possible, have a good grip..

I see that the Spinfit CP100+ size LL is almost there... and they have a good grip..

I think if the Spinfit W1 had a size LL, it would be ideal, because it has a very good grip...

Do you know of any model that is still a little higher than 10mm, but also has a width greater than 14mm?
Other than the 10mm height, Penon liqueurs would fill all your other requirements. Why do you need the height?

Specification
  • Brand: PENON
  • Model: Liqueur
  • Materials: silicone
  • Tube diameter: 4.5mm
  • Height: 9.2mm
S/M/L/XL diameter
  • S :11mm
  • M : 12.5mm
  • L : 14mm
  • XL : 15.5mm
Anyone tried this?

I like it with blue nozzle, a bit brighter than mk3. These drivers have a smooth analogue sound.

after releasing surprisingly well recieved KZ Saga and PRX
KZ set to release... super budget iem that most possibly set even below the cheapo EDC-Pro...

KZ Dawn
1DD, fixed cable, most possibly sub$10
(EDC-Pro with detachable cable, often appears at discounted $6.5 in local market, this might be below that on discount)

Good tip!! I can try this one too... for comfort reasons, I have to leave the eartip not too deep in the ear.
Therefore, I need a good width to maintain a good seal with contact throughout the inner part of my ear and the sound not to be thin. And, I need a height of more than 10mm for the eartip to get closer to the entrance of the ear canal, since the iem is not that deep in my ear.

However, the width of these Penons would suit me well... but I think the height would not suit me... for example... the Divinus Velvet XL is 14.2mm x 9.0mm. The width is already sufficient, but it does not reach deep into the ear.

An eartip with a size close to 14.5 x 10.5 would be ideal.

This is going down into competing with the QKZs and fixed-cable IEMs that will cost a not-too-shabby restaurant meal.

Fiio JD10 in the house! First impressions: CHEAP build... The faceplate with holographic reflections would have looked good but you can see it's cheap and kind of scratched-up. The tips actually aren't garbage though, and the cable, though instantly upgraded, looks like a slightly better KZ copper cable.
Sound: cheap QKZ and KZ sets should be scared. Real, clean and solid bass, but with glorious vocals and highs. A GREAT first entry introduction to Fiio IEMs for me.

Hi guys, I asked to DUNU to start and coordinate a tour for their flagship iem "Glacier" for Europe countries. I was curious to try them, so here comes the idea to start a tour with them, because probably there are other users interested in this iem. DUNU suggested to me to ask here how many users are interested in the tour. If we reach a good number of interested users they will ship the iem for the tour. Please if you are interested write in the official thread of Dunu:

Glacier is a badass unit, good luck! Get that interest up for sure, I know DUNU would get some good exposure with a EU tour of it.
