The Deals Thread (CLOSED! See the last post for the link to the new thread)

I didn't know it was a "leaked" deal.

I was, and always will be, a decisive one. And actually, it was 340...it is only 290 if you sell the $50 iTunes card. Which I'm still trying to do.

Anyone want it? $40 bucks. That's 10 bucks off...PM me!! I'll give you the code as soon as funds hit my Paypal.

With California's new policies, it came out to $367 for me with taxes (They charge tax now even if the online business selling isn't based here. How messed up is that?). Still a pretty good deal, and I sold off the gift card to a friend for $45. I'm not that decisive, but when I saw that deal I told myself I could sell them later and not come out behind. Fat chance of that now that I've heard them, but isn't that always how it turns out?

I didn't realize it was not supposed to be public...it was available longer than a lightning deal on Amazon, I think for a day or so. It wasn't exactly $290 for the 650's, it was $340, with a $50 iTunes gift card (which is useful if you use iTunes, if not can be sold, but likely not for the full $50).
Anyway, got my 650's, thought I'd need a portable amp to drive it, but I have a HiSound Studio V Anniversary, which seems to drive it just fine. This leads me to the next possible purchase thought: a desktop amp (more money down the tube...doing my part for the economy, though these days, seems more for China's economy, but never mind). I'd be curious if anyone has listened to a number of these with the 650s, and could give their impressions/ratings (in price ranges would be great-$100 to $200, $200 to $300, etc, but that's asking a lot). Any thoughts out there?
Thanks.

Just a reminder to everyone: It's been 7 days since the AD900 "Deal" happened, we can now all leave negative feedback on buydig!
