Yes, it is.   I have access to Crutchfield - being about 1.5 hours away from them.  The downside is paying the sales tax.  However, I've been to their retail store before.  They had a massive section of "returned" items available.  Tower speakers, audio gear, car audio gear -- lots of stuff that had been returned as being sold at discounts.  This was a bit before I jumped into the headphone world, though, so I'm not sure what the section would look like today with the headphones they now sell.
