Also not sure if this has been mentioned but COP's are on sale for $144 on Amazon. This is the beat price point for these cans. They don't complete at $199 but under $150 is a great deal.

Thanks, never heard of Takstar or Gemini but for the money apparently you can do a lot worse! May have to give em a try

I own three Takstar headphones, really good for the price.

Saw this on SD - if you're willing to jump through the hoops of checking out using Visa's V.me, you can get the ATH-AD900 for ~$165 shipped from buydig.com
http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=ATATHAD900

Checkout using V.me and use code VMESAVES20.

(...very tempted - comes to ~$177 for me after tax. Someone tell me not to get them.

edit:

Pretty sure Beach Camera drops to $179 routinely (on Amazon)

Ok, good enough reason not to bite, since I don't tend to pay tax on most Amazon sellers - plus I don't personally like BuyDig a whole lot...!)

Have any of you ever heard of this brand Gemini?? These cans look a lot like Beyers from the headband and metal the connects the ear piece. Amazon has them for $81(retail is $199 but not sure what they normally sale for) and that's a decent price for full sized cans but I have no clue how they sound but on the outside they look great lol. If anyone has any info about these or the brand please share.

Gemini is a DJ equipment company, similar to Stanton or Numark. They've been around a long time, 30 years or so, and have products on both ends of the price spectrum. Unlike say Pioneer they are solely focused on DJ equipment and these should fit in that category, closed with good isolation and a rugged design. Probably low-mid centric with extended bass without being bass-dedicated headphones. With that said, I haven't used them so I can only guess how they sound. This is their top-end model, I believe, so is probably more of a monitor, meant for studio or actual music production. For $81 they are probably pretty good if you are in the market for a closed monitor/DJ headphone
