Check out the MZ2 for a nice starter headphone amp and the MZ3 for reference quality. The integrateds also include quality headphone outputs based on my audition at CAF.

So I noticed that Burson Audio was having a sale: https://www.bursonaudio.com/shop/

But they have a flat shipping rate of $55 (at least on their amps).

So I went to https://www.headphones.com/collections/burson-audio and put the same Burson product in my cart: free shipping.

But headphones.com's regular price was still more than the sale items on Burson's site, even with that site's steep flat shipping rate added to the total price.

So I thought, since headphones.com says they'll price match, why not ask if they will match the Burson site sale prices and see if free shipping still applies.

I contacted headphones.com via email yesterday, and they haven't yet gotten back to me, but I saw tonight that many of their Burson products were reduced to the Burson site prices, including the one I wanted.

So I put that into my cart and yes, still free shipping (and no tax), making it cheaper in total than the same product on the official Burson site. Sold!

This is only the prices on headphones.com as of now, and for me a customer in the US.

tl;dr: Burson products on their official site https://www.bursonaudio.com/shop/ are on sale, but their $55 flat shipping rate on their amps is pricey; https://www.headphones.com/collections/burson-audio now has many of the Burson audio products on sale at the same price as the official Burson site, but with free shipping, making the total cost less.

(Excuse any lack of clarity here; it's late and I'm very tired: I actually woke up, thought I'd check my email to see if headphones.com had replied to my email...nope...ok, check the site: boom! prices reduced! better snag what I want before it's sold out! :L3000:).
$55 for shipping? Do these amps weigh as much as a new refrigerator? :)

In case anyone wants the Burson Grand Tourer here is a better deal, cheaper, no shipping, no taxes (out of NJ) and the stand ($150) for free.

$55 for shipping? Do these amps weigh as much as a new refrigerator? :)

Years back, I used to buy vintage 70's receivers/amps online. Even those monsters, which I literally sometimes saw robust delivery men use a dolly to get from the truck to my porch, didn't cost that much to ship (even counting for inflation) and many are still $40-$60 to ship (though many are now $80 - $120 for shipping).

But then people on ebay and elsewhere found out that they could make money over-charging for shipping. Now lots of things have ridiculous shipping prices no matter their weight/size. I buy a lot of used books (especially with academic titles from university presses that often cost anywhere from $40 - $100+ new for paperbacks of 200 to 300 something pages) and prices on those to ship range from $4 to $30+ for books that weigh 5 to 10 ounces.

Adding cost to shipping to inflate the price has been a ploy for some time now and really turns me off from a company, site or seller.

EDIT: I just received the Burson Funk today (via headphones.com, which provided exceptional customer service at every step of the process btw!) : the package weight is 6 pounds...there's no way that should cost $55 to ship.

Damn good deal for a gaming pc / unnecessarily powerful music pc. It'll load Jriver really fast :) Windows 11 though 🤮

Video card alone is worth $500+ msrp alone if you can find it in stock. Price gougers and scalpers on ebay selling for around $800.

Coupon code is WINTER10

If anyone comes across a Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale for HD 600, let me know! The cheapest I see right now is $300, so that'll be the "normal" price. I am avoiding Amazon - too sketchy with counterfeits.

FWIW, I did buy a refurb 660S from their store on eBay once and as far as I remember the box was either too beat up or was some generic brown box and the headphones were not as clean as I would've liked them to be. Ended up returning them. But YMMV.

That said, the 600 is currently oos on their eBay store anyway.
