Clearly this guy doesn't know his brands :) and I am assuming it's in response to the last deal posting for PS Audio, Rotel, etc?

There's a major difference between "no name" because they are literally a bootleg/generic knock-off Chinese brand, and an obscure name because they are an ultra high-end or niche/professional/industrial brand, so you rarely, if ever, see their names come up in the usual audiophile circles because their products are way too expensive and/or extremely niche for the average audiophile, yet alone a casual consumer.

So before thinking something is a poop no name brand and making a foolish statement, maybe try googling the brands and notice the prestige and extensive multi-decades long positive reputation each company has in within the ultra high-end audiophile and advanced technical/profession audio space.

Monolith by Monoprice Electrostatic Headphone with Amplifier (Open Box) for $249 ($629.99 normal)

According to the handful of reviews out there, not a great set of electrostatic headphones in sound quality compared to the next cheapest competition (Drop-Koss esp95x), but for 1/2 the price makes it worth adding to your collection (imo), it's the cheapest introduction into the world of electrostatic headphones and even comes with a basic barebones portable in-line energizer.

I've never looked into Tidal before but this offer has me interested. Looks like Tidal does a worse job than Google Music in separating albums by artists with the same name. Just looked for the hair metal band Cinderella, and the artist page just combines every album by every band or artist with Cinderella in the title. :slight_frown:
