My thought exactly. Last year HD598 was $99 (missed that info by hours), was wavering if its worth buying or not this year, but seeing dt990 for that price i didnt need much thinking.

I don't think Amazon even has the x3's. I've searched Amazon and can't seem to find them. I did however just get them from BB for $99. Best price I've seen for them anywhere.

Opinions on this vs the black friday deal for the HD598Cs? I could use a true sealed closed can.

I'm wondering the same thing. I need a cheap closed headphone for late night Netflix binges. I was planning on picking up the 598cs because I like my 598se, but the Beyers have me questioning that.

I recently got interested in speakers and after tons of massdrop lurking and research I ended up with a pair of Kanto Yumis. Not many reviews on these, but they're comparable to the Audioengine A5+.

The price has dropped significantly as of late and I managed to snag a pair of matte white for $212 from Amazon, MSRP $449. The prices vary from color to color, but nothing above $249. The Kanto YU5 is also going for cheap, around $279, on some sites.

Anyone know if Fostex products go on sale often? I'm hoping to score the TH610 since Massdrop isn't likely gonna being back the TH-X00 in the near future sadly. If they don't I might just jump on the HE400-i train for 249.99 while I still can.
