Thanks everyone for your patience. We have updated the process and the Address field will now automatically populate if you select "Yes" to add the freight forwarding service. This should solve the problem with the Paypal checkout.

You will still need to fill out the Freight Forwarding Address Form linked at the bottom of the Description page.

I have a chance to get an open box HP150 at 200 CAD, which is currently the cheapest I have found. I haven't heard a lot of really good over ears but will they be a big step up from my logitech UE6000 (bassy pos) and Brainwavz HM5?

Its either that or I go for something like the mad dogs

I have the UE6000 and find it sounding very good and not bassy unless you turn on the "noise canceling", which is really just an amp to boost the bass and treble. Do you normally listen to the UE6000 with it on?

The hp150 was a huge upgrade from the UE 6000 for me. Mad dogs are better but the hp150 are very good

They haven't been $150 since January 2014 and that was for one day.  I know because I joined in February of that year.  Since then, this is the lowest it's been (tho it's been this low a few times).

^ Was considering the x1 but the non-replaceable pads give me pause, unlike the x2.

At the price of the X1, I prefer the K7XX.  If you can spend a bit more, I prefer the X2 to either.  (YMMV)

I happen to test the HP150 alongside a MSR7 last week and thought the MSR7 was quite a bit ahead in sound and comfort for about the same price. YMMV.

I tested the MSR7 against my HP100 (with Shure 1540 pads) at Canjam specifically because I was looking at it as an upgrade.  The HP100 was bassier, but otherwise I found the sound to be about on par.  The MSR7 is certainly significantly better built and looks like you could run it over with your car and it'd survive.  Very nice.  But not an upgrade, more of a sidegrade IMO.  If you prefer a brighter sound, it's a nice option.

And it's not fair to compare much of anything to the Shure 1540 pads.  Those things are crazy comfy!  lol

could be the pads... I found the HP150 pads to be thin and uncomfortable and didn't particularly isolate well. MSR7 was indeed much brighter.
I didn't go for either though.

I don't really use the active mode at all. I just find it to be lacking clarity and it sounds muddy to me. I have a working unit I am sure because I got my bro a pair long back and it sounds the same. Maybe my tastes changed.

I don't like my UE6000, they are good for their cheapo price of $100. But K553, HP150, DJ1 Pro are all much better than UE6000.

Thanks for the replies everyone. So is it necessary to change out the pads on the 150? What would people recommend as replacement pads?

Also so as to be not totally OT, headfoneshop.com has a preowned
Shure SE846 + ADL iHP-35M + UE remote cable / 6 months for $900 flat (cash)
