Talked to Brian at www.razordogaudio.com. He said that the HD650 is $389 with code RAZORDOG100. I know Senn won't be shipping any more to him so get them while you can.

Are you sure that he won't be getting anymore sennheisers?

Maybe it's a conspiracy by Brian to sell more Sennheisers!!!

But, in all seriousness, a few pages back Brian hopped on and told us they would not be getting anymore sennheisers.

I wish! That would be a great strategy if I had thought of it sooner!

In all seriousness, yes I am selling thru what's left of my Sennheiser inventory as I no longer am authorized to order more. Would love it if what's left is purchased from Head-Fi members as I've had nothing but positive interactions with everyone here.  All warranties are valid and will be honored by Sennheiser.

They've chosen to reduce the number of dealers and focus on larger retail stores and Amazon. As a small business fighting to compete for every dollar, this was disappointing to say the least.

This is a strike against Sennheiser...I hate it when they stick it to the little guys.

As a customer who has ordered (only) three headphones from you, I'm comfortable speaking for others when I say:  You will still get our business, Brian.

Given the various options out there I guess I will take Sennheiser off my list.  Taking their business to only high volume low touch vendors speaks volumes to what their business model and focus will be moving forward. I wouldn't be surprised to see them move their focus away from high end and more into the commodity Beats brand territory. Expect to see more Momentum HP in various configurations and colors. Maybe their next major innovation will be releasing a new Momentum with the same design but this time they will label it "The FORCE" and it will come in new colors such as chartreuse.

You bring up some valid points, but as I listen to the HD 650 on the Bottlehead right now I also can't help but feel sorry for you

But seriously, I do agree that their showing of "awesome new Momentum colors!!" at CES was disappointing to say the least.

For those that aren't aware, HeadAmp has a returns site:

http://www.headamp.com/order/returns.htm

You can pick up a pair of HE-400's for $249. I bought a pair from this site a few months ago for only $200 because they smelled like smoke. They arrived in practically new condition - in the box with all original items. They didn't even have any fuzz/lint on the earpads. Plus they came with the velour pads. I set them next to a fan on top of some dryer sheets for a few days to air them out and you couldn't tell they had ever smelled.

There are also a few other headphones on there as well (Fostex/Stax).

Thanks for the link I've just pulled the trigger on a set of HE-400s. Any idea how long it usually takes for Justin to ship them out in the mail and get back to the buyer with a tracking number?

If memory serves me right, he either had them in the mail that day or the next. And I believe he sent it two-day priority. So there was no time for me to realize that I had just spent $200 on a complete impulse. Oh well, I was very pleased with the purchase.
