Pretty much. It's an HD25 with better dampening, metal cups and lower impedance. Moved from steel to copper cable, but the cable itself is kinda pathetic, build wise...

I have to say... a headphone deal is only a deal if you wear them. I know there are many people who can get on with the HD25/Amperior, but for the life of me, I cannot wear them for more than an hour.
I wouldn't buy unless you were certain of return or resale. Those and the DT1350 ... So Much Promise... But So. Much. Pain.

When I had the HD25s, I could only wear it for an hour at a time with long breaks in between. Didn't have that problem with the DT1350s. I can wear them for a few hours straight. I found the DT1350 pads more comfortable and was a lot more adjustable than the HD25s. Sucks that you can't wear them for long because they are a joy to listen. So much in fact that my wife has claimed them as her own. lol

I bought them from the last Newegg Flash. They looked brand new. I love them. I have a giant head, but somehow they don't bother me at all, and they sound so good.

I just sold off a pair of dt1350s and they were one of my most comfortable headphones, next to my HE-4 with Audeze pads... There's been countless revisions of the DT1350 now and clamping force plays such an important role in seal and bass impact with those cans.
That said, I never found the HD25s very comfortable and clamp was much tighter than my DT1350s... just goes to show you, "one man's clamp, one man's treasure"
