4. Wait a until you get the confirmation tones; they sound like a long alert tone. Don't worry if the tone goes on, then off, then on again
5. After a few of these tones, you will be connected with a sales person.

Sorry to hear, I always have lucky with B&H used items, their return policy is great even after 30 days if you ask nicely they approve the return.

I got the P2 on sale last year and love it. Doesn’t have flashy features like newer DAPs, but the 4497 is phenomenal and the EQ on the P2 is one of the best out there.

I got Plenue R2 a few months ago and it's been great as well. EQ is seriosly second-to-none, it's very impactful. R2 has the blackest background I've heard. It's output is very clean with high SNR rating. Although there's no line-out (on any Cowon DAPs I think), it works very well to feed amps through either balanced and single-ended outputs. Can also be used as USB DAC or digital transport.

Cowon's customer service is excellent. My child damaged R2's USB-B port playing with the cable while it was charging. Although I had to pay for shipping to Korea, Cowon fixed the unit and shipped it back to me. Such damage clearly shouldn't be covered by warranty but they still took care of it.
