My HD 600 order was just cancelled by Amazon. I had managed to grab the last one. Amazon is showing the cancellation reason as "Technical Problem". That sucks.

  3. mixman
That does suck. Hope they make it up to you somehow. I believe mine are still on their way. Out of all of the deals here lately, the HD 600 for $119, with a small warranty and returnable is the best bargain I have seen.

You're just not having any luck with headphone purchases lately, huh? First with the used Kanas Pro from BLINQ being a dud and now with the HD600 order snub from Amazon? Here's to better days.

The HD600 I ordered got an email confirmation a few days ago saying SHIPPED, but when I click on the tracking on amazon site, it says ERROR

    Not a good sign.

I think I'll just stick to head-fi listings.

    Fingers crossed.

Oh nice! I checked My UPS and it shows a delivery for Friday, and that it's in transit. So... that's good news for me.

I bet they were sure to pocket the 6.3mm adapter before returning them, too.

AudioQuest sent me the 6.3mm adapter today, I just emailed them last week and today I got the email with the tracking number.

KLH Ultimate One open-back headphones for 20% off the $300 regular price, through wwstereo's eBay storefront. Discount shows up in the cart:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/352694181129

Discount ends 7/14. Use your Google-fu to find some reviews, not much out there but curiosity got the better of me. These look to be based on the same platform as the Sivga SV007, but with a better beryllium coated driver, leather headband and earpads, and probably other tuning refinements.

I have no confidence that the driver is any different from the Sivga SV007 or if KLH, which now seems to be a marketing concept rather than a real company, provides any value added technology. WWS says they are "pure" beryillium (the Sivga are vapor sprayed I think) but I would like to see more than one line in a spec sheet. The other major Jaskey brand, Bosshifi, refers to their drivers as "berylium alloy", so there is certainly confusion as to content, and as to what difference it makes.

On the plus side Jaskey made headphones sound quite good and can be very comfortable. I am happy with my Jaskey Paikeshi phones.

For anyone considering the KLH headphones, take a look at the comments at AVS Forum.

For those who don't mind refurbished, here is a link to the headphones under the Amazon Renewed program. Like the earlier HD600 & HD650 refurbs I posted from Amazon, it appears that these headphones that fall under the Amazon Renewed banner come with a 90-day warranty. Granted some of the prices listed here aren't that great. Sometimes even insulting, when you can get brand new for the same or less. YMMV. At the moment there are 13 pages of headphones. I imagine this list will be updated regularly, so it might be worth bookmarking for future reference.

FYI, one of the ways to confirm if the refurbished headphone is covered by a 90-day warranty, you should see a description that reads the following:

Product works and looks like new. Backed by the 90-day Amazon Renewed Guarantee.

Renewed products work and look like new. These pre-owned products have been inspected and tested by Amazon-qualified suppliers. Box and accessories may be generic. All Renewed products come with the 90-day Amazon Renewed Guarantee.
