AAW Sale

I would jump on a pair of those W900's in a heartbeat, if I didn't already own them. Ditto with the W500's.

If you navigate through the sale, if I'm not mistaken, it's basically $100 off from list price of any offering. Nice deal on a $200 IEM, not so great on $1500+.

Edit: Academic at this point ... appears to be sold out.

Cardas cable on Drop, I had one of these last year for my HD800S and I love the quality of the cable! and is so light, one of the best aftermarket cable imo.

https://drop.com/buy/cardas-premium-clear-light-headphone-cables

Not a bad price for the HD800 cable considering there usually is markup price for the specific HD800 connections. I wish though that they offered a 7 foot cord option instead of just 1.5m and 3m. Seems like the former is a bit too short for anything besides desktop listening and the latter is too much if you do use it occasionally for desktop.

Yep sold out quickly, I was on and fiddling with whether I wanted A3H or AXH and by the time I decided they were all gone. My wallet thanks those who in jumped in quickly.

I bought the W500 last time they had the similar sale (Black Friday I think). It took one month for shipping (I didn’t upgrade to fedEx, I was cheap). The W500 sounded real nice but the shells were a little too big for me.

So what would list on the 2017 W900s have been then? Was it really only c.$840?

That's why I make my own cables and use Mogami wire. A 7' HD800 XLR 4-pin cable would be under $50 with DIY. Still, if you buy into Cardas cable, the Drop deal is not bad.

I think they sell for about a grand US$ now, for those who still have them. They seem to be discontinued. If I remember they sold for $1499 (?) US when available from AAW.
They have been replaced by the Mockingbird which have received mixed reviews from my very basic search. They also sell the Canary for a few hundred more, which are suppose to be a great club music/pop/electro earphone, from one reviewer I read. I own the Pola as well as the W500 and W900 and like all three. The W500 is a bass heads dream. The Pola are really good at their price point.

Last I checked, a used W900 go for around $850/$900 on the for sale forums. Not sure if they would keep this price since they have now been replaced. The W900 have great resolution and balance but can have a hot treble for some. It's my favorite AAW that I own.

$739 USD. On previous sales, there was also an option to upgrade to CIEM, for $99 SGD I believe.

Thanks rantg. I know the price on the sale as I was lucky enough to snag a pair . BobJS said that sales prices were list (original) price less $100 so I wondered what the original price had been as that didn't tally with Null advertising them as 40% off. I think Carlsan has answered the question whilst I have been writing this though.
