Again, i've just received the long waited D-25S.
But when i opened it, i found out that the display
cover shakes, seems lose. Is this normal??
Please view the highlighted section of the pic.

Is the cover removeable?
Is there a way to tighten it?

Thanks in advance,.

From the picture you uploaded it certainly looks broken. Can you do a close up on the "Open" button? Because I have two of them and non of mine look like yours and they certainly don't shake.

Pepsione1, thanks for replying.

I hope you dun see it wrongly that i've actually drawn a black line around the cover to highlight it.

But i'm not sure if its broken, but it does shakes(lose) , just like when my finger touches it in the below pic.
Here's a better look. ( without the bolded line)

You mean yours doesnt shake even a bit??
Do you think i got a bad deal??

A ha...!!!

I managed to take off the lose cover and further investigate the cost of the loseness!!

Apparently, to take the cover off was pretty easy, but must be careful because of the hold button. There's actually a small pin behind the hold button. Do it at your own risk!!

When i took off the cover, there is actually no snap pins or any fastening edge on the cover. If you look closely at the 2 part of the pics, its actually just a double sided tape to stick the cover on the player, and i thought it was some sort of snap on, or maybe even a small screw.

So i guess i could solve the lose problem my replacing the double sided tape. I guess this player must be old and when i touch the tape, it wasnt sticky anymore, that explain why it doesnt stick.

So anyone dares to take off the cover and confirm with me that it is actually a double sided tape beneath it??

opps....forgot to give instructions on how to take out the cover.

You cant pull it out by force.
The trick is, press down on the Open button. That way you will see that the Open button is leveled and allowing the cover to slip out from the Open button. Then, slowly lift the cover to release it from the player. As for mine is easy to removed because the cover is already lose. But i guess for the normal player, the cover should be tightly sticked. Remember!! The Hold button . There is a small tiny pin behind the hold button. The hold button is mounted on the cover, there is a tiny pin on the player's body that connects into the hold button. Again, do it at your own risk!!!
