I'll obviously have to give this a listen for myself and see how I, personally, find it. This is what you ultimately need to do, right?

For now, I'm happy goin through their backcatelogue; now listened to 'Pornography' a few times, great in places but the songs, individually, are less hooky and defined. I'll stick to digesting the Cure albums I currently own for now then- 'Wish', 'Disintegration', 'Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me', 'The Head On The Door' and 'Pornography'- and then work through the rest of their discography, culminating at '4:13 Dream'. I think that's how I want to approach this new release ie as a fully endowed and updated Cure listener, buying a new release by them, assessing it's merits with that backdrop and full experience of the artist.
