Anybody who has an ipad pro 12.9 2021 and using the wm1a as usb dac help me with what usb c to usb to a (female) cable they use? I tried the ifi one and it doesnt work, also got a couple more usb c to usb a (female) adaptors and they dont work. The only time i can make it work is when using an anker usb c hub and a dell usb c hub… one thing i noticed when experimenting is that a workaround is to restart the wm1a while plugged to the ipad pro and all the adaptor from ifi works. For now i just use my anker usb c hub since i dont want to restart my wm1a all the time just to use it as usb dac. The ifi cable was a cleaner solution though… just wondering if there are any ipad pro 12.9 2021 owners here who have found a solution… I tried it on a friend’s ipad pro 11 2018 and all adaptors worked… thanks in advance

Have you disabled charge the device from connected source on wm1A under usb dac settings?

mine is ipad pro M1 but the 11 ' version and i use the usb-c to usb-s from apple the one that i normally use on my macbook pro, and it work okay

Yes sir it is disabled. I think the issue is really with the ipad pro 12.9 2021 for some reason it only works with usb-c hubs. I tried this one i bought from ifi the usb c version https://ifi-audio.com/products/otg-cables/
It works on a friend’s ipad pro 2018 but not on my unit… i can get it to work if the cables and wm1a are connected to the ipad pro and i restart the wm1a… will try the official one from apple recommended here…

I have three of these, one for each of my Sony DAPs and find it fantastic. Similar anyway, looks like the IEM storage is a bit different.
