Let's say I have a $2K budget for a sweet leather recliner, what brands and models should I look at?

I'm interested in these ergonomic chairs, such as those sold by Relax the Back, but having been into several of these stores over several years, honestly, none of these chairs seem to do it for me (not enough padding, only one possible position to sit in), nor does build quality especially impress. I've seen many different brands and models of these on the web that sure look a lot better, but I need to be able to try it before I buy it, so it has to be widely distributed.

I've had bad luck with recliners, they just don't seem to last.

I'm sure it's all cheap Chinese crap now, but I still want something rugged and durable, but COMFY.

Any advice?

personally, id look around on the used market for some extreme-quality leather goods

dont' **** with the "erganomic" *****; just sit in as many big-overstuffed cloud-like chairs as possible, and pick the one that FITS YOU best

btw: it's a crime that recliners went out of style; i had such a beauty i got at salvation army and it was unbeleavable to sit in and listen to music and watch movies on the projector; that's the way to do it baby

We have a couple Ekornes recliner chairs and a couple of reclining sofas that are wonderful. My wife doesn't like them much but I love them. So we also have a couple Steelcase leather recliners that she likes too. I can't find pictures of the steelcase recliners. We got them at Costco. they're real cushy, but not overly ergonomic like the Ekornes furnithre.

Ekornes stuff:
173-1000

Two of these^

135-1-1000

One of these^

125-1000

One of these in a two seater^

Two of these that match the other furniture of course...

They look really nice! About 25% of the prices of the Ekornes stuff. I wish they had been available when we bought the Ekornes stuff. I coulda' had another nice headphone rig!
