I have the "Two Shoes" disc and have seen them live. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Been listening to them for years, they make some fantastic alternative music. Their self-titled album is a great start.

The self titled album is killer... I didnt really get into the newer stuff they produced. Very cool relaxed tunes imo. Heard the live act they do is very good.

I've seen them live a couple of times. Definitely some good, fun music but not really the kind of thing I would listen to at home. Worth seeing though.

My vote for album of the year-listen to the links and hear what you think.

Edit:  I realise this thread is 12 months old, but thought I would post here rather than start a new Cat Empire thread.  Great group and this is a fantastic album.

This hobby is all about the music.  This section is all about spreading the word and sharing the gems.  Click on the Cat Empire links and listen to what I feel is a gem of an album.  These guys are at the top of their game, some of the best Indie, Jazz, Alternative, Rock Blues blend music you will hear IMO.
