servus plakat,

had a talk to the beyerdynamic's PM and he told me the new headband cushion (as spare part / replacement) will also fit the pre-facelift dt-1350 version - the old headband just has to be carefully undone / unmounted not to damage the cables inside.

this spare part will be available very soon.

actually with this headband and the EDT-1350 SL we could do the old 1350 looking completely 1350 "facelift"-ishly :)

hope it helps!

regards, waxdoctor

Sounds good -- the headband is the only part giving me some minor problems (i.e. wearing them around the neck tends to pull off the cushions).

I already got the SL pads and quite like their look. The coiled cable would be quite tempting though...

Grüße aus der Nachbarschaft

I sold it to fund for my AK100. I think I'll try to buy another one used soon.

Oh I see. I can understand why you'd miss them...

They get loud enough that you will probably be fine however you may choose to upgrade to a amp in the future just for the added volume headroom and slightly better sound. That said, I don't think an amp is necessary. I use my 1350's with my Galaxy S2, Nexus 7 v2, and laptop without an amp regularly and they work quite well. When I want to get the very best out of them or when I need more volume headroom for very quietly recorded albums etc, I reach for my $100 iBasso D-Zero portable amp which I can pretty highly recommend if you have $100 to spend on an amp. Otherwise just go without one, I think you'll find that the 1350 works pretty decently without an amp.

Does the DT1350 requires an amp?because my devices are only smartphone and my computer.

I like my HD25s (even when it has the lousy stock cable) more then my DT1350s directly out of a device.  But, I tend to feel the DT1350s blossom more with a little bit of amplification.

So it don't work so good?or is it just what a normal listener will need?

The DT1350 is one of the better headphones for an unamped source.  I just happen to like the HD25s a bit more...

Ok ok, I'm lost...
Is the DT1350 CC (Facelift) a different version from the DT1350's that we love and/or hate?
