That's reassuring, I do notice the sibilance in my pair but it's not intolerable by any means. I listened to a friend's dt880/600 briefly before pulling the trigger on mine. I might have to borrow them for a while once my pair are broken in and compare.

The O2 is touted as a neutral amp that will pretty much just let you raise the volume - my ears confirm this so far. Pairing it with the dt880s, which are also quite neutral, might sound flat or unappealing for many people. Do you have another pair of headphones? If you do, it might pay to try a range of amps and see if you'd prefer a neutral one or maybe something with more colour.

I have both the 250 and 600 ohm versions, and I agree with your assessment. The highs in my 250's sound just slightly "grainier" than the 600's.

You're right... Nah.
That peak in the highs is an exaggeration, and the 600 tames it slightly.
The suckout at 4... well, that's just an oddity that has little effect to my ears.
The 600 still very accurate, with a slight high bias.

Frankly, all three graphs seem to have problems as far as I can see.

The 32 and 250 Ohm have a nasty peak at 10 kHz.
Which lines up with what I have heard from 32 Ohm DT880s, a little too much treble.
And I'm not a big fan of the 4 kHZ suck out.
I suspect that 4 kHz suck out is what bothers me about the DT880/600 Ohm.

There is differences production aswell on the dt880. I ordered 250 and 600 when I bought it. And then they sounded 99% the same but the 600 was more fatiguing.

Testing was done with a old tube amp that is not mine and the o2 and a vintage reciever.

Was a test over a weekend with friends and alot blind testing when we was up in the cottage in the mountain.
