How good is this 2CD set produced by
Jimmy Page, Atlantic 2002? How good is the sound?
I've asked someone and was told that the sound
was bad. The Best of Led Zeppelin, vol. 1 & 2.
Enhanced cd video versions of 'Communication Breakdown' and Kashmir' included., #83619-2.

Another one is:
'How the West Was Won', Led Zeppelin
3CD set - Live classics recorded in California, Summer of 1972.
(DVD is also available)

I'm listening to it right now. How did I miss this show?
I was 17, living in so-cal and going to concerts all the time.

Sounds pretty good. One of the better live recordings I've heard.
The band is at it's peak. IMHO. The only thinig that ruins it a little
for me is Plant ad-libbing ocasionally. "does everyone remember laughter?"

I'm liking it. I think I'll listen to the rest of it.

The "Early Days, Latter Days" set is not worth getting. The sound is terribly bright and many essential songs are omitted. Instead, you can purchase the individual Zeppelin albums from yourmusic.com for $5.99 each and get all the classics with IMO better (still not great) sound.

Thanks for this info. When I was in the store yesterday, I asked a nice lady
(22+) because she was wearing, you bet, 'Led Zeppelin' T-shirt. She
was nice and it was a fabulous pretext to talk to her. She told me that the
sound was very bad, without specifying it ... and then her (jealous)
boyfriend approached us and my dream was over, but at least I was trying,
and I should get some credit for this! Comeon give me some applause!

See you,

Yes a very good live recording. Avoid the BBC sessions, that recording sounds like ass.
