the best line out for portables other then vintage cdp's...

I'm deciding wheter to buy an hd recorder-player or a Minidisc recorder-player , just want the best line out i can get out of a portable ..
I've got a d303 sony pdcp and i know this one have got one of the best line out one can find among portables . There's anything recent that compare to it soundwise?

The Grundig Squixx 4100 had a good line out for a modern pcdp. That pcdp, pcII and dt990s made me a very happy camper for a long time.
