Seconded. It all depends on what you mentally find 'the best.'
For the majority of us headfiers, we may think the iPod earphones are dreadful - but at the end of the day, the majority of the iPod demographic will (may) think they already sound amazing.
I was thinking of a m-audio ie-30 or ie-40 if worth the difference i also consider all stock mp3 headphones garbage i think the stock headphones of mp3 plyers must be thrown to trash after you open the package with the mp3 player .

If you can still get a Zune 80, or even their first model 30, it comes with a set of rather good phones as stock. Just throwing it out there.
Other than that, like others have already suggested you'll need to do some research yourself to figure out what's good and what's not in your budget range.
