Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, and was hoping to get some help from you all.

I'm really passionate about good-sounding music, so I'm willing to spend a fairly large amoun--up to $100. My current Skullcandy Full Metal Jackets are breaking, so I need an upgrade. I checked out a few sites, such as this one:

Best earbuds for less than $100 - CNET Reviews

But, I'm still unsure of which ones to get. I've been asking around, and everyone's been suggesting different earbuds. I'm looking for ones that sound the best overall in all frequencies, including bass (doesn't have to be amazing , but at least decent bass). Here are the ones that I think I've narrowed down to:

Amazon.com: Etymotic Research ER6i Isolator In-Ear Earphones (Black): Electronics - Etymotic Research ER6i
Amazon.com: Shure E2c Sound Isolating Earphones: Electronics - Shures
Amazon.com: Ultimate Ears Super.fi 3 Studio Earphones (White): Electronics - Ultimate Super.fi

Lots of people like Shures, but I've read reviews on other earbuds saying that others are much better, so I don't know what to do. Can I get suggestions, please?

I'm sure you guys know more about this stuff than I do.

Thanks a lot.

from what i hear, the etymotic bass is pretty lacking. some seem to find the super.fi 3 to be lacking too. im not too sure about the e2c.

Have you checked on the for sale forum yet?

You could find something like a Westone UM1, Denon 700, UE Super.fi 5, etc... for about 100.

First off, you might want to change your thread title, you're not looking for earbuds, but IEMs / canalphones. Here's a thread about the difference:

Also, you might want to check this thread out:

There are many options below and around 100$, like Head-Direct RE2 (80$ right now), RE1 (I think around 120$), im716 for cheap on Amazon, Klipsch X5 at 125$ for USA people, Denon c751, the Mylarone series, a new interesting looking Nuforce IEM, etc etc.

I suggest you do a forum search for each of these & read up. The best purchase for you also depends a lot on the music you listen to and your preference in sound.

Just taken from previous posts...
"Westone UM1, Denon 700, UE Super.fi 5"
"Head-Direct RE2 (80$ right now), RE1 (I think around 120$), im716 for cheap on Amazon, Klipsch X5 at 125$ for USA people, Denon c751, the Mylarone series, a new interesting looking Nuforce IEM"

Examples of what to check out right there lol.

There's no point in asking the same question that has been asked half a quadrillion times before you. Just read over the existing topics on this, see which IEMs are most mentioned or suggested, go from there. Brilliant!
