Yes, without having tried myself on those amplifiers yet, but I have heard the HD800S. Technically the HD800S is a HD800 with a slight acoustic tweak. Those who have both cans that I have communicated with says it's still a HD800, also with regards to amplifier matching.

Hi guys
Please guide me I have HD800S right now ,when used Ibasso DX200 amp3 balance mode the sound very clean bass powerful overall SQ very good, so the question right here if i buy tube amp like w22 do you thinking big upgrade for me?
When i using aune x7s XLR line out SQ very good but it was slighly better than my Dx200 in drive and power not technically.
I scared spend a lot of money for hi end tube amp and don't get Upgarde .
Regards Mori

Never heard the ibasso or the Aune, but imo the WA2 and WA22 are great with the HD800(s). I'd suggest the WA2 rather than the 22 if you have set your eyes on the Woos - especially if you are on a budget

Woo Audio WA2 owner. Bought on Ebay 08.2019 from a nice fella who went to the Rocky Mountain show and auditioned quite a few headphone amps. I think he even talked to the head guy. One year warrant expired 11.2019
I have a distinct buzz in right headphone. Allo DigiOne Signature to Benchmark DAC3 (just as DAC) to WA2. No moving the unit to another location, change of cables, nothing could get rid of it. Switched tubes left to right, new set of tubes (upgrade) - no change. There's a buzz from the transformer even if you put your ear close to the unit. Contacted Woo before warrant expired. WOW. Basically would not take any responsibility. I even asked to pay shipping to them so they could hear it - obviously something is wrong. No. They said IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME.
The thing is worthless if it buzzes to me. Why make an amplifier if it induces noise?
Anyway, did a search for tube amp repair in my area. Found a guy that's taking a look. Who knows?
I will never buy Woo Audio again. I even thought about their trading up program (I can afford it) but why give them any money if they don't stand behind their product.
Just my honest opinion.

I feel your pain, but this doesn't seem like the right thread for this type of post. You might find more of an audience at the Woo Amp Owners Unite thread.Woo Audio WA2 owner. Great review!

Just purchased a used good condition WA2. Power tubes I'm familiar with. Not familiar with the drivers or rectifiers on this amp. This amp is for my VC and Aeolus maybe Eikon if the person sells me their set.
I don't feel like tube rolling.
I'm a bass head nice bloom in bass. Midrange I like it neutral and a bit of treble energy.
I don't want complete V shape. So driver and rectifier options please.

So I give the WA2 major props. My Aeolus just sound amazing. The WA33 Elite doesn't do them justice. Funny 15k amp being best by 1299. I never trully enjoyed my Aeolus until this amp came in. I use to have Feliks Euforia AE and regular and I'd rather pay full price on cheaper WA2. Here's some pics of unboxing to setup. I put in a Tung Sol 7236 variant the rest of the tubes came from the seller

Interesting....your experience “parallels” in a way mine with my Auteur. My WA3, bought on eBay ($400), trounces my new WA22 ($2500) when the headphone driven is the Auteur. For the WA3, I use TS 5998 or Cetron 7236 and Amperex PQ 7308. For the WA22: Cetron 7236, CBS/Hytron 5692, RCA 5U4G. The little “3” has dynamics and thereness - across the frequency spectrum - leaving the “22” rather flat-footed. Due to simpler circuit and to absence of output transformer? I have to concede. [Until I put on a low-Z headphone (not for the “3”), I was looking at the “22” like this: ; afterwards, this: . Still...]So I give the WA2 major props. My Aeolus just sound amazing. I Only like Planar headphones on my WA33. Dynamics on WA33 are dry and just don't sound good. The OTL amps with Dynamics is what I like. I also bought an already built Crack amp off a forum member who put a lot into his amp according to the pictures and description. I don't know what to expect with the Crack being it only has two tubes if it doesn't pass my bass test it won't get used.Interesting....your experience “parallels” in a way mine with my Auteur.
