Thanks for the reminder, I need some wireless headphones. I forgot about the Backbeat Pro. I ordered the newer version, reviews still seem similiar to the older model. Walmart has the Backbeat Pro 2 for $132.99 here: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Plantron...Backbeat-Headphones-Black-Tan-Pro-2/392106695
Yeah mate. Haven't tried BB Pro 2s, but to give you an idea BB Pro on flat EQ have quite considerably more bass than CAL!s (which I still consider to be great HPs) with 60Hz boosted all the way to the max using spotify EQ (iPhone DAC). I've tried many different HPs, but nothing came close to BB Pros in terms of bass while preserving acceptable levels of clarity and not sounding moody/boomy.

Has anyone tried out the new V-moda M200? I'm considering getting a pair of those but I'm not sure if it's worth getting those over either the M100 since it's around an 100$ difference.
According to V-MODA themselves:

"DJs are no longer just live performers but are also often the producers behind their own music, and they need the right tool for that production process. For this type of sound profile, we needed to build something new with more of a studio production focus specifically for sound monitoring, recording and mixing process" (https://www.head-fi.org/threads/v-moda-m-200-official-impressions-reviews-thread.939690/)

Therefore those do not fit the basshead profile which this subforum is all about.

These are significantly flatter than the M100, they seem to have taken a more reference sound approach since the Roland takeover.

The "M100 Master" is no longer bass-oriented either and quite flat.

I saw the recent review of the woojer vest on YouTube, it really painted it in a bad light. I had such low expectations after watching it. I'm glad I did because this thing is FUN. I've listened to it using bluetooth using headphones plugged into it and also with my Abyss and a line out to it from my TT2. It's been hella fun, it adds a tactile feel to the low end that really makes you move. With bluetooth it's really portable and comfy to wear. I've been wearing it and dancing around the house with it all day. Works well with most music I've tried with it. I'd give it an overall B for music.

I'm waiting till the subpack is available since that's the more pro audio focused one and will likely be more linear and impactful. However, the woojer vest edge (especially at a sale price) is worth just for the added physical dimension it gives to the music.

This seemed an appropriate thread for this...I did an overview video of Lawton mods for Fostex biodyna-based headphones on my new YouTube channel:

Enjoy!
