Long time no post..... Unfortunately life took control and I have to let go of all my gear to make ends meet

In my hiatus I have found an extremely cheap set of headphones that satisfy my bass needs when paired with my LG V30
Only $15 with a set of earbuds at big lots

I’m still really amazed at the sub bass output of my basic Beyerdynamic DT770s.

How does CAL1 compare to Plantronics PRO?

I absolutely love Plantronics as the sound signature is in my mind close to ideal. The bass is pronounced but doesn't go over the line of boomy and too much. If you boost bass with EQ by a small to moderate amount then it does start to get tiring/unpleasant, but with flat EQ it's very very good. However I do need decently priced non-BT headphones now. CAL looked like the best deal I can get up to $60 (delivered). Ordered them but they will arrive in 2 weeks time and I can't wait lol.

Thanks for the reminder, I need some wireless headphones. I forgot about the Backbeat Pro. I ordered the newer version, reviews still seem similiar to the older model. Walmart has the Backbeat Pro 2 for $132.99 here: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Plantron...Backbeat-Headphones-Black-Tan-Pro-2/392106695

My everyday general use headphones have been the Audio-Technica ATH-WS1100iS. I've used mine a lot while in the gym, they have held up well, no issues so far. Just been using a simple Fiio A3 on base boost / high gain and usually flat EQ, they thump fairly good with the little amp. I don't like them without an amp though, you need some power to get the bass to hit. But, they work good for a wide range of music types, fairly warm sound with good clarity even cranked up. I found mine on Ebay, around $137 new if I remember right.
