After a year-and-a-half of relatively stable operation, my laptop bailed (OS-related). Thankfully, I'm relatively careful about backing things up. But, still, it takes a couple/few days before one gets his minty fresh computer back to something resembling its pre-crash operational status. The bad news.
Arriving just in time to cheer me up and keep me listening through it all was my brand new green Hornet. For the first time in a while, I have put away my in-ears for a bit to enjoy some open-air time with my Grado GS-1000, Grado HP-1, and Sennheiser HD650. The great news.
I rarely use the HP-1 (so I'm actually thinking of selling it), but I was curious about how well the Hornet would drive it--the answer is easily and well. Hmmm.....I'm now considering tasking the HP-1 with office rig duty. Here are some photos of my new green baby with its most reclusive partner (the Grado HP-1).

Most of my listening nowadays is through my portable rigs, so the Hornet was something I've wanted to pick up for some time now, and, so far, I'm absolutely thrilled with it. My green Hornet joins my Ray Samuels Audio Tomahawk and HeadRoom Total BitHead (latest model) in my portable amp stable.
I'm glad it arrived when it did, as tt was just what I needed to cheer me up after the laptop crash, and to keep me listening through the laptop recovery process.
P.S. If I've been harder to reach this week, I apologize.
